Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day

Today is 14th February which is a special day for the year of 2010. Coincidentally, Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day are happened to fall on the same day. Lots of people are busy preparing to celebrate these 2 big events. Lucky me, I have a week off.

Before celebrating Chinese New Year, families will start to clean their houses and decorate the houses with lanterns and new year scrolls which they believe will bring a prosperous year. During Chinese New Year, they will cook a table of sumptuous feast and lion dances can be seen all over the places. The most important and happiest things for children is that they get to have AngPaos from parents and elders.

As for Valentine's Day, lovers will busy choosing and buying presents for their loved ones. Some of them will make chocolates or cakes for their partners. However, for those who don't have valentine, they will celebrate their Friendship's Day.

This year, a special year for me as I am celebrating these both events overseas. I am not lonely at all as I have friends here with me. We had a reunion dinner on New Year's eve and we are going to watch lion dances in Chinatown on the 1st day of New Year. Moreover, I received calls from Howard and he accompanied me throughout the day to celebrate Valentine's Day with me.

Besides, on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year, I am going to Manchester for 3 days 2 nights with Zyan, Guat Lee and Yee Lin. Will update when I get back from the trip.

Going to bed now. Later I have to wake up early in the morning and prepare to go Chinatown. Hope the lion dance will not let me down. =P

Wishing everyone has a Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year. May the year of Tiger brings good health, wealth and happiness to everyone. Not to forget, Happy Valentine's Day too!

My 21st Birthday~!!!

24.01.2010 is my birthday. I am now officially 21 years old which I can receive my Key of Freedom! Haha..

Couldn't believe that I am now an 21-year-old lady. I am happy in the sense that I finally get the freedom that I have longed for; sad is because I am getting older and older.

This year will be a memorable year for me. It was the 1st time I spent my birthday in UK with my bestie and friends! They have given me a great surprise in Nino's restaurant. I received lots of present and I love them so so much, especially the present from Zyan! It is my favourite! =)

I have been living in this world for more than 20 years, have experienced lots of ups and downs which I have learnt my lessons and become more mature, stronger. I am no more a coward who escapes from problems but I face the problems with all the bravery and courage I have. I should behave like an adult instead of a child.
I received lots of wishes and blessings from my family, relatives, friends and loved ones. Hope that the blessings will accompany me throughout the year or perhaps the rest of my life. Once again, thanks for the blessings, surprise, dinner and presents.
May you be blessed and stay healthy and happy always.
Happy Birthday to Sharie!

Merry X'mas 2009

Sorry for the late update as I was busy with my assignments and also busy enjoying my 1st snow in UK! The snow is nice and soft. I just love them! But after awhile, you will feel the cold and you will start to lose interest on it. Haha..

After submitting assignments, we went out to have a big feast in Gekko, a buffet restaurant in The Gates and shopping in Eldon Square! and that started our Xmas holidays.. *whee*

As for my Christmas, I celebrated with Boon Han as Zyan went to London on 22nd but I am going to London on 27th Dec till 3rd Jan. So, what was our plan during Xmas leh? Boon Han and I cooked an Xmas dinner for ourselves. We have lots of food, kinda like stuffing ourselves with food. Haha.. After that, we had a little treasure hunt in my room. Boon Han has hidden my present and I have to look for it. It was a bracelet and I love it so much! Thank you, Boon Han. In return, I also bought him a tee from topman. =)

Thank you to my dearest hubby, Howard. He called me twice from KL just to countdown and wish me Merry Christmas. Although he is not here with, I still can feel his love and warmth that he gives me. Muakz..Love you!

Tomorrow is boxing day and we have nothing to buy but we plan to have a walk in metro center. =) It is time for dinner..ciao..

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Assessments!

As time passes, the day we received our assessments was finally arrived! Few days ago, we got our assessments for Consumer Protection and Property 2. I have to submit them on the same day which is on 18th Dec, just before I celebrate my X'mas holidays. However, I guess I could not entirely enjoy my holidays because Jurisprudence assessment is to be submitted in January and the question will be given before holidays. Huh!

Can't they give me a break to enjoy and relax?!

Haiz.. what can I say?! We are students, this is one of our duties - assignments! In the end, we still have to submit our 'masterpieces' to lecturers. The things I should do now is to start doing my assessments, starting with my research, journals, textbooks.. just like what I always did in HELP. But one good thing is that we can access to LexisNexis or Westlaw using our own laptops. Easier for us to study as in I don't need to purpose walk to campus and look for the cases and articles.

3 more weeks to go! 21 days! I have to get started with my assignments as time flies fast just like a blink of eyes. No more playing..but we are celebrating BoonHan's birthday on this coming Saturday. Oppz..Party again!! After that, really have to burn midnight oil every night to get my things done!

Good luck to all my fellow friends! After submitting assessment, it's party time!!! ^^

BVC? LPC? LLM? CLP? - Indecisive!

Recently, I am stuck in some problems. I really have to think about my future, thinking which road I have to go, what course I am going to take. While thinking about the above question, I may also need to think about the problems that I will encounter on my chosen journey. Besides, lots of aspect I have to take into consideration before I make my decision.

However, time doesn't wait. It flies fast and I have to make decision as fast as possible. I have lots of options. I have to think whether I should apply for BVC (new term = BPTC), LPC, LLM, CLP or just a degree student. I am now so puzzled and everything is just crushed in my mind.

As in BPTC, for those who are non-EU students must take IELTS test and score 7.5 in every categories which might be a tough case for me. If I consider to join next year, I then have to take the aptitude test in order to apply for BPTC. The fee for next year excludes living expenses is GBP10,500 which might be a burden for my family.

As in LPC, the IELTS requirement is lower which only 6.5 and above. But taking LPC here, when I go back to Malaysia, I have to take CLP to be a qualifying lawyer. What is the point of taking 2 courses where she can only take 1 in Malaysia?

Frankly speaking, I am not that into entering the court and debate. It has tension on me. Hmm..Every roads seem to have its own problems. Like my parents said, they can't guarantee me that they can support me to study here. They also advise me to do LLM, as least if I am not a lawyer, I am still a master degree graduate.

How ah? I wish to give a try. I will still go for the IELTS test and see how my standard is. I will still apply for BPTC and see how my luck is! Even if I couldn't get, at least I give it a try, at least I step forward!

Haiz.. puzzled! Dilemma ah! Who is going to help me? Should I walk straight or should I turn left or right? Standing in the middle of the junction..thinking where to go. Anyone there for me to ask for directions? Perhaps I have to follow my own map..only I know, what I want and where I want to go.
