Assessments!

As time passes, the day we received our assessments was finally arrived! Few days ago, we got our assessments for Consumer Protection and Property 2. I have to submit them on the same day which is on 18th Dec, just before I celebrate my X'mas holidays. However, I guess I could not entirely enjoy my holidays because Jurisprudence assessment is to be submitted in January and the question will be given before holidays. Huh!

Can't they give me a break to enjoy and relax?!

Haiz.. what can I say?! We are students, this is one of our duties - assignments! In the end, we still have to submit our 'masterpieces' to lecturers. The things I should do now is to start doing my assessments, starting with my research, journals, textbooks.. just like what I always did in HELP. But one good thing is that we can access to LexisNexis or Westlaw using our own laptops. Easier for us to study as in I don't need to purpose walk to campus and look for the cases and articles.

3 more weeks to go! 21 days! I have to get started with my assignments as time flies fast just like a blink of eyes. No more playing..but we are celebrating BoonHan's birthday on this coming Saturday. Oppz..Party again!! After that, really have to burn midnight oil every night to get my things done!

Good luck to all my fellow friends! After submitting assessment, it's party time!!! ^^

BVC? LPC? LLM? CLP? - Indecisive!

Recently, I am stuck in some problems. I really have to think about my future, thinking which road I have to go, what course I am going to take. While thinking about the above question, I may also need to think about the problems that I will encounter on my chosen journey. Besides, lots of aspect I have to take into consideration before I make my decision.

However, time doesn't wait. It flies fast and I have to make decision as fast as possible. I have lots of options. I have to think whether I should apply for BVC (new term = BPTC), LPC, LLM, CLP or just a degree student. I am now so puzzled and everything is just crushed in my mind.

As in BPTC, for those who are non-EU students must take IELTS test and score 7.5 in every categories which might be a tough case for me. If I consider to join next year, I then have to take the aptitude test in order to apply for BPTC. The fee for next year excludes living expenses is GBP10,500 which might be a burden for my family.

As in LPC, the IELTS requirement is lower which only 6.5 and above. But taking LPC here, when I go back to Malaysia, I have to take CLP to be a qualifying lawyer. What is the point of taking 2 courses where she can only take 1 in Malaysia?

Frankly speaking, I am not that into entering the court and debate. It has tension on me. Hmm..Every roads seem to have its own problems. Like my parents said, they can't guarantee me that they can support me to study here. They also advise me to do LLM, as least if I am not a lawyer, I am still a master degree graduate.

How ah? I wish to give a try. I will still go for the IELTS test and see how my standard is. I will still apply for BPTC and see how my luck is! Even if I couldn't get, at least I give it a try, at least I step forward!

Haiz.. puzzled! Dilemma ah! Who is going to help me? Should I walk straight or should I turn left or right? Standing in the middle of the junction..thinking where to go. Anyone there for me to ask for directions? Perhaps I have to follow my own map..only I know, what I want and where I want to go.

Lazy Bum Bum

Hello.. It has been a long time I didn't update my blog. It is not that I have nothing to update, but it is just that I am lazy and I know I should not.

Having been in UK for a almost 2 months, I have finally cured my homesick and everything is settled. My cousin is going back on Nov and I really hope that I can go back too. Last time when I was studying in KL, I can travel back to Sandakan during holidays as the ticket fare is cheaper and the distance is shorter. But for now, I should not even have that idea in my mind. It is just wouldn't happen to me. However, looking in a bright side, I could visit my cousin in London, go to other places to visit my friends, spending X'mas with my friends, experiencing winter etc. There are still lots of fun which I haven't discovered yet and I am going to..

Now is November and I have started to plan my X'mas holidays. I am going to London again to visit my cousin! Last time the duration was short and now, I am going to stay for almost 1 week before I go back to Newcastle. I am looking forward on that trip.

So far, I am doing well in my studies but have to pay more attention on the lectures and seminars so that I can catch up with the lecturers and tutors. Their slangs are slightly different so 100% attention is needed. I do eat well, sleep well, wear well, so my dear parents, do not you worry too much about me ya.. Take care yourselves! I won't simply spend money =X

It is time to sleep now. Night Night everyone!

Tomorrow will be a brand new day!
Will update when I am free..=)

Newcastle

On 12th Sept, I left Malaysia and boarded on Emirates to Newcastle where I have to spend my one whole year there. Before I left, I was so touched as HELP business gangs have come to airport to meet me. Thank you guys!!!

Safely, My friends and I have reached Newcastle and we waited for Northumbria Meet & Greet teams to bring us back to Northumbria campus and our accommodation. We waited there for 1 1/2 hours to get on to the bus, but the journey to Northumbria University from airport is quite near, around 20m-30mins. 1 thing frustrated me was that they promised to give us complimentary simcard BUT they told us that the simcards have been distributed and no more left! Gosh!! I have to spend GBP14.65 to get a simcard to call home.

My room is very nice and I like it. It is kinda like a superior single room in hotel! haha.. The washroom is ensuited and the kitchen is amazing as everything is fully eqquipped. The TV provided is Plasma LCD and the coach is comfortable..Overall a word to describe my accommodation - It is COSY!!! =X

At night, Baby-jia and Errol drove to Newcastle to meet me and it took them 5 hours from London. The next morning, after enrolment, we met up and went for lunch and do some shoppings! Thanks Baby-jia for buying me lots of stuff and she is going to meet me soon! Besides, Dennis-kiu in Sunderland also wants to come and find me for dimsum! Wow..DIMSUM.. can't wait..I miss chinese food very much!!

For the 1st 2 days, we went to get our enrolment done and walked around our accommodation to get some food and household products. We explored many places included Chinatown and we are going to explore more.

It is time to prepare dinner.. gonna sleep early as tomorrow we need to go for induction. Will update soon..take care everyone..miss you all so much, especially my family and Howard. Love u guys!!!

Preparation to UK!

After I came back from KL, besides having nice homemade food from mum, I also have to start packing before it is too late.

I wrote down a checklist for myself and gosh..so many things I have to brin!g! Hopefully it won't overweight. This whole week I have been going to bank, supermarket just to buy the things that I have to bring to UK. Any unclear information, I have to call or email the relevant officer so that I can save some space for my luggage. I have 30kg only but my friends who booked via travel agent can get extra 10kg. Well for me, the more kg I have, the more things I will bring, so I gonna control myself..^^

I also have to book the flight tickets to KL for Daddy and Mummy. They are just sweet enough to accompany me to KL and will send me off in KLIA! Touching! OH, I have to book the Cititel for the room! Got to get it done by today!

Besides that, I just mugged myself inside the bedroom and sat in front of the computer. Really lazy to pack but I know I have to. So starting from today, I have to start!!

Pretty sad that I am not able to celebrate Mooncake Festival here with my family. But, my aunt is kind enough to make me a box of jelly mooncakes with 4 flavours - lime, herbal tea, dragonfruit and blueberry yogurt. They are not too sweet and they really taste good! Yummy!!! [thumbs up]

Okie dokie, it is my brunch time and later in the afternoon, I have to go out and buy some moisturiser cream, shampoo etc. Everybody ciao!! ^^
